A few words of Boa and Boa world. For all of us, which includes my children, my mother, my sister in law and a schoolfriend with her kids, it was a very pleasent art experience. In my mind I return to this calm, relaxing, tender and healing rainforest on the last floor of Kiasma. A family visit to an art exhibition is usually a bit fussy thing to do. Everybody follows their own path and usually I also try to observe the reaction of my children to be able to understand if they like it or if they find it interesting or curious or whatever they might feel. Visiting this way I loose many of my personal sensations, but I just cant help it. It is great to be together. Well, Boa world ,which is not the official name of the exhibition, was a beautiful world. A crocheted giant world and it was very much like stepping inside something that had no-time dimension ,only a peaceful light-coloured cotton rainforest with sounds of birds, flautes, music.Faraway and nowhere. We stayed, everyone took their own time and there was nothing like turns or when to see or feel, for a long while inside the Boa. This crocheted animal was very gentle to cover and protect us in the world of many dangers, and it was surprising to discover that is was actually a snake. A snake was giving hospitality to us. We did not talk much to each other and I was told not to make questions. Funny and correct ! I dont want to say that it was a lovely or wonderfull experience; it just would not be enough or it would not make sense. I try to remember the feeling on my body and mind and treasure and enjoy that much like a mindfull-session - if it exists.
